Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP)

Texas State University is seeking reaffirmation of accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). This process is already underway and will be finalized in 2010. While part of the process includes a report on how Texas State currently complies with core requirements and comprehensive standards, a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) will propose the enhancement of educational quality at Texas State beyond 2010. This vision plan will focus on supporting student learning and on accomplishing the mission of our university.

In the upcoming months, several stakeholder groups will meet to discuss the nature of the QEP and propose ideas for themes. The stakeholder groups will include, among others, the Council of Chairs, the Council of Deans, the Division Councils, the Faculty Senate, the Staff Council, the Association for Student Government, other student groups, and the City of San Marcos.
Faculty, staff and students interested in the development of the QEP are invited to attend one of the QEP Open Forums to be held during Spring Semester. Drs. Wuest and Schüler can be contacted via SACS-QEP@txstate.edu.
