Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students:

 

I am happy to announce the appointment of Dr. Nico Schüler, Director of Graduate Studies in Music, and Dr. Beth Wuest, Director of Academic Development and Assessment, as co-chairs of the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) Committee.  This committee will oversee the development of a university plan to enhance student learning as part of our Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) reaffirmation process.  

 

In the upcoming months, several stakeholder groups will meet to discuss the nature of the QEP and propose ideas for themes.  The stakeholder groups will include, among others, the Council of Chairs, the Council of Academic Deans, the Division Councils, the Faculty Senate, the Staff Council, the Association for Student Government, other student groups, and the City of San Marcos.  A website has been created in which documents and reports related to the QEP process will be posted: http://www.SACS-QEP.txstate.edu

 

Faculty, staff, and students interested in the development of the QEP are invited to attend one of the QEP Open Forums to be held during the spring semester.  Drs. Wuest and Schüler can be contacted via SACS-QEP@txstate.edu.
